Have I got a ripper karma story for you. It smacked someone directly in their smug face and I watched it turn so sour that mine started to twist in sympathy. Friends don’t believe my story. They said the events I spoke of couldn’t have happened that way. They’re just too outrageous to be real.
I’m not a superstitious person. I don’t believe in God. Karma is neither here nor there for me either but there are some situations that are just too weird to explain. So today I’m filing this post under Karma and asking you to decide.
I recently dated someone who believed in Karma a lot. She spoke about it as though her life really depended on it. As I understand it, Karma swings both ways and favors no one. There’s no escaping karma no matter how virtuous you believe you are. It goes where its needed, not where someone wants it to be.– Linda J Bettenay, author of ‘Secrets Mothers Keep’ and ‘Wishes For Starlight’.
…I’m checking in here. But this time, it’s for today’s post, not yesterday’s.
On Sunday evening, I watched a sermon (God’s Already Working Out What You’re Worried About) by Pastor Mike Todd from Transformation Church (Transformation Nation stand up!) and just like all his other sermons I’ve seen, this one spoke to me directly. I knew i needed something bigger and stronger than all of these. I knew needed to let go of so much. I knew I needed God.
I should have done something about the conviction right there in my friend’s house when I was done with the sermon but as the procrastinator that I’ve been (yes, been because I’m a changed person – by faith ), I put it off till later.

Oh my goodness, please tell me you’re NOT like me.
I have these rules for the way I feel I should be treated; certain types of interactions that I think everyone should follow when dealing with me. But these go beyond basic human respect, they’re entitlements. And even if these rules are never explicitly shared, I expect everyone to comply without question. If someone breaks these laws, I end up getting mad, feeling bitter, hurt, or rejected. There’s little room for understanding.
YOU’RE MY PERSON
Oh sinful nation,
people weighed down with iniquity,
brood of evildoers,
depraved children! (1:4)
The book of Isaiah opens with God’s judgment of Judah. They have abandoned him. Their offerings are useless, their hands covered with blood. Murderers dwell where righteousness once did. Their rulers are rebels.
God urges them to repent –

Praise the Lord, my soul.
Lord my God, you are very great;
you are clothed with splendor and majesty.
2 The Lord wraps himself in light as with a garment;
he stretches out the heavens like a tent
3 and lays the beams of his upper chambers on their waters.
He makes the clouds his chariot
and rides on the wings of the wind.
4 He makes winds his messengers,[a]
flames of fire his servants. When was the last time you thanked God for the glory of His creation?
I remember when I was worship leading at youth, there was this period of time where it was on trend for all the praise songs to be in Drop D (I think they were mostly Planet Shakers?)
Oh my gosh, I cannot even express the drama.
This is because we would play some epic sounding song, and then on the end of it we would wash it out (Worship Team Lingo for End the Song with A Heavy and Elongated playing of a single chord over and over until the song ‘ended’) and everyone who had to would furiously retune to transition into the next song.We beleive in God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit (The Trinity) The death and resurrection of Christ There will be eventual judgement by God
With all that is going on now with Corona virus, and other major world events, it makes a person wonder if the end is near…
In the Bible:Revelation 6:2-8 states the following:
I looked, and there before me was a white horse! Its rider held a bow, and he was given a crown, and he rode out as a conqueror bent on conquest.

The strength of our walk will live,
in the depth
of our heart’s surrender.
It is happening earlier than I expected. The little one is exerting his independence more than ever. He wants to feed himself all the time and do many things by himself. One of his new favorite words is “No” and he motions to push me away. When he pushes me away, I think to myself, “you need me little man”. He needs me because I know what he does not know. Many times, I let him learn. I do not always impose my “easier way” on him when he chooses a more difficult way to accomplish his goal.
Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV)
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
Is your well being and happiness based on circumstances and your expectations of what your life should look like?
As I sit here thinking about the past six months I have to laugh. Never in a million years would I have guessed that my husband would lose his job and my daughter would be sent home from a semester in Italy due to an unexpected virus. There have been other things too that are less than favorable but I have chosen joy despite our circumstances. If I focused on the bad parts I bet I could easily fall into a pit of despair but I put my trust in the Lord and I continually look for and celebrate the blessings. His hand is in all of it. Even the hardships and the disappointments. I remind myself to keep my eyes on Him and not what I see before me. It’s a choice. It’s choosing to overcome the battle of the mind by shutting the negativity down and not inviting it to live inside of me. There are blessings if you are looking but the question you have to ask is what am I looking for? You will find it whatever it is so why not look for the good?
Find joy in spite of it all. Sometimes we have to die to our flesh and expectations before we can see beyond ourselves but I promise the view from this place is a beautiful one if you dare to climb out of yourself and take a look.
In the end man became calloused
from walking the tightrope of existence
thinking he was right and no one else
Is there a link between youth-earth creationists and evolutionists? Are they “sister” views because they abide on opposite ends of radical extremes…like yin/yang? One might get that impression from the opening of Chapter 11
Countless people have been influenced by the beliefs of youth-earth creationists and their evolutionist opponents, persuaded to accept a long creation timescale is tantamount to accepting that amoebas turned into monkeys that turned into humans…The topic of evolution rouses unmitigated, unrelenting animosity between naturalists and supernaturalists. Unfortunately, both sides have assumed that the origin- and history-of-life timescale constitutes the crucial divide. As astronomical advances proved the universe to be some 10 to 15 billion years old, a majority if both scientists and Christians mistakenly assumed that billions of years allowed ample time for a naturalistic account of life.
From the title of the chapter and the opening paragraph, it sounds like Dr. Ross is equating young-earth creationists and Darwinists as being wrong because they are on opposite ends of the origins spectrum. Before we see if this false equivocation continues throughout the chapter, I do want to take issue with his claim that astronomy proved the universe to be 10,000,000,000 to 15,000,000,000 years old. I’ve already addressed the terrible problems with the Big Bang, but it’s worth bringing up again. He makes this claim as if it’s true rather than in dispute. If it’s not in dispute why has he written a whole book about how a day can be either 12 hours or 10,000,000,000 years?Global or local flood Scripture Corroborated Ross’s Inaccuracies Study Your Bible Bait and switch fallacy- Genesis says that 2 of every kind boarded the ark, but Dr. Ross talks of 100,000,000 species. Species ≠ kind. The originally created kinds (that contained all of the original variability of traits in their DNA) no longer exist, but the biblical kind would best be equivalent to the modern classification of Family. Species however is a slippery term with no clear definition. Many disparate species can interbreed, which would indicate that they are of the same kind even though modern classification has them as distinct species. Strawman fallacy – Thinking he is attacking the biblical creation model, Ross says “The problem grows even worse”, when actually he’s attacking a strawman of his own making. He has erected a strawman of biblical creation, and then he has viciously attacked that caricature rather than what the Bible and biblical creationists actually teach. Equivocation fallacy – As I mentioned before, evolution teaches a “bottom-up” construction of DNA from a single common ancestor to the animals today. But Dr. Ross says that biblical creationists are teaching evolution when he says “Ironically, creation scientists propose an efficiency of natural biological evolution far greater than even the most optimistic Darwinist would dare suggest.” But this is NOT what creation scientists are teaching. At best, one could say that creation scientists are teaching DEVOLUTION as genetic code continues to fall apart. Jonathan Sarfati Robert Carter Jeffrey P. So I spent 19 of the last 36 hours in meetings of one kind or another. It feels like every last ounce of glory and strength has been drained out of my body. Amanda and Brenda are no better off. Brenda was out even longer than I was by about 6 hours.
When people used to ask me what I did I used to tell them I was a “professional meetinger”. That period of my life was annotated by a long series of meeting minutes and action items I had to get done in order to build the Kingdom of God.
The last 36 hours has made me realize that I am not a “professional meetinger” anymore. I still have a deep passion for the Kingdom of God but I realize my job is not to “meeting” the Kingdom into existence any more (if it ever was). I am going to try really hard not to meeting myself into a stupor ever again.
While winter in Texas is not as cold or stagnant as winter in Iowa, over half of the trees are without leaves, the grass turns brown, and the color of flowers is limited. With the approach of spring, all this changes. Over the last few weeks, we have seen significant change in the landscape. Trees are flowering and budding. The garden centers are stocked with flowers ready to be planted. The sun has increased in its warmth. Rains are helping green to reenter the grass and other plants. New life is arriving daily.
Currently in the Christian Church calendar, we are in the season of Lent. Lent is a time for personal reflection, recommitment to spiritual disciplines, and a time to await new life. The new life which becomes a reality is found in the death and resurrection of Jesus, the Christ. Lent begins with Ash Wednesday which is a reminder of our mortality and forty days later (Sundays are not counted) we are reminded of the truth of new life we share with Christ.
I am sure that the correlation of the transition from winter to spring and Lent to Easter is not coincidence. Just as spring provides new life for God’s creation, Easter provides new life for God’s children. As a child of God, I anticipate the fulfillment of the resurrection in me as much as I anticipate the witnessing of new life during spring. I yearn for both of them. Every Easter I celebrate the truth of my new life while I watch the promise of new life in creation.
Am I really forgiven?

If you take your time when reading Psalm 91, you begin to see what a beautiful, and powerful prayer it is.
I wonder how many people recognize that it really is a series of promises of protection from God Himself.
When you carry Psalm 91 in your heart, you can walk without fear, and have peace, even in this fallen world. If you say it, and believe it, every day, it will protect you.
” Then, together with them, we who are still alive and remain on the earth will be caught up in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. Then we will be with the Lord forever “1 Thessalonians 4:17
When you die, where do you go? I believe we go to heaven, as a Christian if you believe and accept God as your Lord and saviour then that is your final destination after this life. But, death is something I only thought about in regard to myself, like when I die what will that be like and when will that time even come, my thoughts about death never wondered into the death of those I loved. Because I prayed that I will go first before anyone else.
So when you left me I had to confront death, never had it crossed my mind that you would die, my grandma, my perfect peace of heaven here on earth. So softly spoken and an even softer hugger, your special and like all special things you where given to us for only a while and leaving an imprint on the world forever, that is why you left on a leap day exactly 29/02/2020. I will remember you every year and celebrate you every four years, like a shooting star you came and disappeared but the experience remains in my heart forever. No one prepares you for the death of a loved one, one day you’re going about your day to day life the next your preparing a funeral procession, and your heart is heavy but filled with a sense of peace, knowing they are safe, knowing they didn’t leave in pain, knowing that they are in the best place, in heaven with God.

Don’t feed me that crap about a fetus having NO SOUL!!
“[They] shed innocent blood, even the blood of their sons and of their daughters…” – Psalms 106:38
Abortion is MURDER!!!! “[They] shed innocent blood…” the Father calls the blood of children innocent. Why? Because they are defenseless! They can’t defend themselves“Thou shalt not do so unto the Father: for every abomination to the Father, which he hateth, have they done unto their gods; for even their sons and their daughters they have burnt in the fire to their gods.” –Deuteronomy 12:31
The Father calls the killing of innocent children an abomination. And rightly so! How repulsive!
Building a house requires first a foundation and then a frame. Until the frame is in place, the walls, flooring, and roofing cannot be nailed down. Similarly, once we have built our foundation in Christ, we need to frame our lives with His Word so that we can be fully established.
Proverbs admonishes us that “A wise woman builds her home, but a foolish woman tears is down with her own hands.” (Proverbs 14:1) It is our words that build and our words that tear down. “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it and indulge it will eat its fruit and bear the consequences of their words.” (Proverbs 18:21 AMP)Words that Tear Down
Often we tear down what God wants to build without even realizing it. We may even think that we are simply being humble or truthful when we speak negative words. But this is not the kind of humility that leads to righteousness or the kind of “truth” that unites us with God’s truth.Reframing with Truth Discovering God’s Script Speaking Life Positioned with Christ A New Chapter
